Conference participants may need a visa to enter Thailand. Nationals of many countries can enter Thailand without a visa for a limited period under the Visa Exemption scheme, while others need to apply for a visa in advance. Participants are advised to check the latest entry requirements with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence well before travel.

Visa on Arrival / E-Visa

Depending on nationality, eligible travelers may apply for a Visa on Arrival or a Tourist Visa (TR) in advance through the official Thai e-Visa portal (https://www.thaievisa.go.th/). A Tourist visa is generally easier to obtain for conference attendance; an invitation letter is normally NOT required for a Tourist visa.

Necessary Materials to Apply for a Thai Visa

»A passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, with at least one blank page;
»A completed visa application form with true and complete information, signed by the applicant;
»One recent passport-sized photo (taken within the last six months);
»Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay;
»Confirmed round-trip airline ticket and proof of accommodation in Thailand (e.g., hotel booking in Phuket);
»Other documents that the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate may require.

Invitation Letter

Please note NLPAI 2027 is not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Acceptance Letter and Invitation Letter issued by the organizing committee.
* Invitation letter will only be issued upon request after successful registration.

Should your application be denied, NLPAI cannot change the decision of the Thai immigration authorities, nor will NLPAI engage in discussion or correspondence with the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of an individual is denied.
